Guest WiFi Terms and Conditions of Use Effective Date: February 3, 2026
St. Rita Catholic Church (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Parish”) provides free wireless internet access (“WiFi Service” or “Service”) as a courtesy to parishioners, visitors, guests, and attendees on our premises (13645 Paddock Dr, Wellington, FL 33414 and surrounding grounds).
By connecting to or using the St. Rita Catholic Church Guest WiFi network (SSID: [e.g., StRitaGuest or similar]), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
- Nature of the Service The WiFi Service is provided free of charge and on an “as-is,” “as-available” basis. It is intended for temporary, short-term use while on Parish property (e.g., during Mass, events, meetings, or visits). We do not guarantee:
- Speed, bandwidth, uninterrupted access, or error-free performance
- Compatibility with all devices or applications
- Protection from viruses, malware, or security threats
- Acceptable Use You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with Catholic values and respect for others. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Accessing, transmitting, uploading, downloading, or storing content that is obscene, pornographic, indecent, harassing, defamatory, libelous, abusive, threatening, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate
- Content that promotes violence, discrimination, illegal activity, or contravenes Church teachings
- Unauthorized access to other computers, networks, or systems (hacking, cracking, or similar activities)
- Distribution of unsolicited bulk email (spam), chain letters, or pyramid schemes
- Illegal downloading, sharing, or distribution of copyrighted materials (including via torrenting or peer-to-peer networks)
- Any activity that violates federal, state, or local laws
- Excessive bandwidth use that interferes with others’ access or Parish operations (e.g., streaming high-definition video for non-essential purposes, large file downloads unrelated to Parish activities)
- Commercial activities, advertising, or solicitation without express permission
- No Privacy Expectation The WiFi Service is an open, unencrypted network. Communications over the Service are not private or secure. We strongly recommend using a VPN or HTTPS-secured sites for sensitive activities (e.g., banking, passwords). The Parish may monitor, log, filter, or block traffic as needed for security, legal compliance, or to enforce these terms. We reserve the right to disclose information if required by law or to protect the Parish, its members, or the public.
- Liability and Indemnification Use of the Service is at your own risk. The Parish, its clergy, staff, volunteers, and the Diocese of Palm Beach disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use (or inability to use) the Service, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, business interruption, or personal injury
- Viruses, malware, or harmful content accessed via the Service
- Unauthorized access to your device or information
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Parish and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
- Termination and Changes We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time, without notice, for any reason—including suspected violation of these terms or to protect the network or Parish community. We may modify these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
